The Crystal Edition Xbox was first released in North America in 2001, the aim was to celebrate the console's second anniversary in the region. The box bundle contained the console and two matching crystal controllers.
However, a few weeks later, the bundle was made available in many Canadian stores. Variants of the Crystal Edition were sold in stores bundles with different games at later dates.
This Xbox you're viewing only had a lifespan of 5 years! There were 24 million units sold in total (as of May 10 2006). This model only had about 64 MB of DDR SDRAM @ 200 MHz and an 8 or 10 GB internal hard drive along with an 8MB memory card.
The best selling game that was used here was Halo 2, which has a record of 8.46 million users (as of November 2008).
